MCCI Kamustahan (September 10, 17, and 24, 2021 | Zoom and Facebook Live)
MCCI organized the MCCI Kamustahan, a series of mini-sessions that feature resilient and inspiring MCCI members who shared how they have evolved their businesses during the pandemic through adaptability, business strategies, and good company practices. These sessions were held every Friday throughout the month of September. MCCI was able to invite 11 leaders from member companies to talk about their struggles, challenges, experiences, and success to serve as lessons for other members of the business community. These sessions were attended by approximately over 60 participants per session.
Cebu Wellness Revolution (launched last Sept. 22, 2021 | Zoom and Facebook Live)
As part of MBM 2021, MCCI organized a four-week online wellness challenge dubbed as the Cebu Wellness Revolution (CWR) to promote good health and holistic wellness by encouraging a habit of living a healthy lifestyle. This program aimed to have Cebuanos recognize the importance of exercise and healthy living specially to combat COVID.
The challenges uploaded per week on the MCCI and CWR pages were introduced by celebrities like Lucy Torres Gomez, Matteo Guidicelli and Coach Alvin Patrimonio.
MCCI Business Summit (September 30, 2021 | Zoom and Facebook Live)
Cebu Provincial Governor Gwendolyn Garcia attended the event as the Keynote Speaker while Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes gave an inspirational message addressed to the local business community.
Four renowned speakers shared their ideas and insights on their respective fields of expertise: Ronilo Balbieran on “The Philippines Today and Beyond: A Macro Economic Outlook”, World Bank Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist Atty. Lesley Cordero on “Disaster Risk Management on Corporate and Financial Level”, Dito CME Holdings Chief Operating Officer Donald Lim on “Culture of Innovation”, and Piandre’s Ms. Rosalinda Francisco and daughter Ms. Andrea Zulueta-Lorenzana on “Light Enough for the Next Step.”
The virtual summit held last year on September 30, 2021, was the first hybrid summit by MCCI wherein the whole event was livestreamed to an online audience while the host and selected guests were present in a physical venue. Speakers from outside Cebu presented their talks real-time via Zoom.
Mandaue Business Month (MBM) Launching (July 19, 2022 I City Sports Club)
The Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry launched last July 19, 2022 the annual Mandaue Business Month (MBM), happening this August, with the theme “Ushering the Great Reset: Riding the Tailwinds of Change”.
The various activities included the Mandaue Expo 2022, Trees Brew for Life at the Umapad Green Park; Duwa: Cebu Children’s Festival; MCCI Business Summit; and the Mandani Bay Dragon Boat Regatta 2022.
