Seventy seven (77) volunteers attended Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI)’s blood letting activity dubbed as “Blood for Life” held last September 14 at Pacific Mall, Mandaue City as part of MCCI’s Mandaue Business Month (MBM).
This activity is MCCI’s response to the growing number of dengue cases in Cebu during this rainy season. Part of the donations are also allotted for children with congenital heart problems under the Rotary Club of Cebu’s Gift of Life program.
A total of 27 liters or 60 bags of blood were gathered by Philippine Red Cross from 60 qualified donors composed of mall goers, consistent blood volunteers, and employees of MCCI member companies including Virginia Food Inc., Mandani Bay, Prifood Corporation, and Southern Synergy International Corporation.
This activity was in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross – Eastern Visayas Regional Blood Center, Cebu Chapter, and the Rotary Club of Cebu, and sponsored by Pacific Mall and Virginia Food Inc.
